In addition, students who demonstrate readiness for advanced coursework — including those from diverse and historically underrepresented backgrounds — must be recognized for their strengths and provided with differentiated, intellectually challenging learning experiences. These opportunities should reflect the highest standards of excellence and empower each student to reach their full potential.
LAUSD Advanced Learning Options offers numerous programs and learning opportunities including Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE).
